Liquorice Roots

Pure liquorice root has a sweet flavour with hints of aniseed and fennel.

• Often used for its medicinal properties, liquorice root is rumoured to heal a range of ailments.
• Contains glycyrrhizin which is 50x sweeter than sugar.
• Try stirring into a herbal tea - we recommend peppermint!
• Boil these in liquid to make a syrup and use to flavour cakes, confectionary and other sweet treats.
• Infuse stocks, soups and gravy by adding the sticks and removing before serving.
