Foodmaker By Tongmaster - Chilli Con Carne Mix - 50g

A tasty dish packed with spices, guaranteed to warm you up!

Foodmaker mixes contain no artificial colours or flavours and are gluten free!

Can be used on the hob or in a slow cooker.

Ingredients needed:

• 1 sachet of foodmaker chilli con carne mix.
• 1 tbsp vegetable oil or low cal alternative (hob only).
• 450g lean minced beef.
• 2 medium onions – diced.
• 400g chopped tomatoes.
• 400g drained kidney beans.
• Water (150ml for oven cooking, 100ml slow cooker).

Method (hob):

1. Heat the oil in a pan and brown the mince and onions.
2. Dissolve the contents of the sachet in 150ml water and add to mince, add the kidney beans and chopped tomatoes.
3. Mix thoroughly and bring to the boil, cover and simmer gently for 20 minutes.

Method (slow cooker):

1. Brown the mince and onions, drain and add to slow cooker.
2. Add the sachet to 100ml boiling water and stir until dissolved.
3. Pour into the slow cooker along with chopped tomatoes and kidney beans, mixing well.
4. Cover and cook for 5 hours on a high setting, or 9 hours on low.

Serve with freshly cooked rice and tortillas.
