Foodmaker By Tongmaster - 2 x Sausage Casserole Mix - 39g

A delicious sausage casserole mix – perfect comfort food enjoyed by all.

Foodmaker mixes contain no artificial colours or flavours and are gluten free!

Can be used in the oven or in a slow cooker.

Ingredients needed:

• 1 sachet of foodmaker sausage casserole mix.
• 1 tbsp vegetable oil or low cal alternative.
• 450g sausages.
• 2 medium onions - diced.
• 110g mushrooms - sliced.
• 1 red pepper – sliced.
• Water (300ml for oven cooking, 250ml slow cooker).

Method (oven):

1. Preheat oven to 180°c, 170°c fan assisted ovens, gas mark 4.
2. Brown the sausages & onions in a pan, add to an ovenproof casserole dish along with mushrooms and pepper.
3. Dissolve the contents of the sachet in 300ml cold water and add to the dish.
4. Cover and cook for 1 hour, ensure sausages are thoroughly cooked before serving.

Method (slow cooker):

1. Brown sausages and onions in a pan, add to slow cooker with mushrooms and peppers.
2. Add the sachet contents and mix with 250ml boiling water.
3. Cover and cook for 4-6 hours on a high setting, or 8-10 hours on low.

Serve with potato wedges and mixed veg.
