Saag Aloo Spice - 50g

A traditional blend of spices such as turmeric, paprika and cumin

Ideal for creating the traditional Asian side dish containing potatoes, spinach and onions.

Ingredients

•          Diced potatoes – 450g
  
•          Vegetable oil – 20g
  
•          Chopped onion – 100g
  
•          Spinach – 255g
  
•          Saag Aloo spice – 15g
  
•          Water – 160g
  

Method

•          Boil the diced potatoes in lightly salted water until soft.
  
•          Drain the potatoes and set aside.
  
•          Add the oil to a pan and place on a medium heat.
  
•          Add the onions and cook until softened.
  
•          Mix together the seasoning and water and add to the pan.
  
•          Add the potatoes to the pan and simmer for 5 minutes.
  
•          Add the spinach and cook until wilted.
  
•          Ensure the dish is piping hot before serving.
  

Use 15g of spice for every 450g of potatoes.
